Cats watching
Stokes Birds at Home
The photo at right was sent by Mike and Stefanie Dillon who said, "Thought you would enjoy this picture of our boys, Bucky and Bailey, two blue-point Siamese, watching your show this morning. When we turn off the TV after the show, they continue to watch the blank screen for several minutes hoping that the birds will come back!"

Carol Cloen in Washington said, “In our house, your most devoted fan is our cat Yin. We watch every Saturday morning and as soon as the opening sequences end and the birds begin to chirp, she races in to sit in front of the TV. She remains there, captivated for the whole show and doesn't leave until the promos come up for the next show!”

Cathy Brown said, "Love your show, so do my cats, when you start to show your birds they sit in front or the tv and watch until they are gone. I have learned a lot from your show, and I wish I could join you, what a good job you two have."

From Steven and Beth Goldberg—“My Wife Beth, our 6 cat's (indoor cats) and I all love to cuddle up and watch your show on Sunday mornings. I suspect the cats find it entertaining while Beth and I find it both entertaining and informative.”

Tom Campbel from Oklahoma gave this feedback—"I am glad to see your program back on Ed. TV for the 2001 season! Our local station airs it at a particularly good time for us. If is both educational & entertaining at the same time. I would like to see the program enlarged to run the entire year. So very little quality family programs, even on PBS. Thanks!"

Shirley Thompson said, "Love your show. Not only the beautiful birds that you feature, but your lovely gardens and the knowledge on both subjects."

"I really enjoy your TV programs—the pictures are beautiful and the information most helpful." —Shirley Milford

H. F. Bailey, Vermont gave this feedback—"I happened onto your show while flipping through the channels. I really love birds, feeding them, making bird houses etc. I enjoyed your show immensely and plan on watching it every time it is on. I jotted down your web address and have spent the better part of an hour checking it out. It's Great!!! I will be back often as birds are my favorite hobby. You have so many great tips and information, thanks for the making this available for us that love birds. I will pass the information on to all my friends who are also interested in birds in case they didn't see your show. I have a very large back yard and now I have some place that will help me in converting it to a beautiful place for birds to come to and a place where I can watch them and enjoy their company."

"I first came to know you this past year when I saw your show on a PBS station here in the Chicago area. It has brought great delight to me!! I have enjoyed the variety of episodes—backyards, traveling, bird identification and especially the "spotlight" on just one bird doing something. Thanks for a great show and I'm looking forward to seeing new episodes this year." —Kay Wright

"Nice show!! My 6 year old grandson and I watched it together. We have several feeders out and a pair of cardinals living off our deck we keep watch on. A fun activity for the little ones and we older folk." —Barbara Ross

"Greatly enjoy seeing your show on PBS. Really appreciate your great web site and all the efforts, time, talent and energy you put into it. Thank You." —Sandy Dennis

"I saw your show for the first time today on one of our local PBS stations, KCTS in Seattle. What a great show for learning about birds. I especially enjoyed seeing your beautiful garden, and hope to have one some day as beautiful and serene as yours. I think many of the plants you have will grow here in the Northwest, although we need more water resistant plants than drought resistant plants!! I look forward to receiving your e-mail news letter, and to watching more of your wonderful programs on PBS. I am very excited that you have a CD on bird songs. I hope there are many birds on there from the Pacific Northwest, because I can hear many more birds than I can see." —Sincerely, Stella Bull

"Thank you for this site, the show, and all the great work done for birds and birders. Keep up the great work." —Michael Musselman

"This is the best show I've ever seen on birding. I can't wait until 8:30 am each Saturday morning. It such a joy to watch a couple, such as yourselves, that are truly happy and loving. You have done a fantastic job with your show and all the information you provide. Keep up the good work!!!!" —Shirley A. Moore, Michigan

"Wonderful series. The last one just aired this evening. I do hope more episodes are being planned as we are going to miss Stokes Birds at Home! My mother, too. The living care center where she lives does not carry Channel 14 so we have taped all the shows for her. Many thanks for such informative and fun to watch shows. They're delightful!" —Peggy & Ernie Vaughn
